Sandra Miles

Sandra Miles, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31st, 2026. Born and raised in Millville, Sandra was a longtime resident of Laurel Lake, NJ, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.

Sandra was a proud graduate of Millville High School and pursued her passion for helping others by attending nursing school. She dedicated her career to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Rainbow Nursing Center in Elmer, NJ and then Bishop McCarthy Nursing Home for 10 years before retiring. Her gentle spirit and dedication to her patients left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Sandra had a love for knitting and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her family and friends.

Sandra is survived by her devoted husband, Richard M. Miles Sr., and her loving sons, Richard Miles Jr. (Kathy) and John Mark Miles Sr. (Brandy). She was a proud grandmother to Amber Miles, Raymond Miles, John Mark Miles Jr., and Ryan Miles, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Sandra is also survived by her sister, Ruth Tharp (Arthur).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Pennington Sr. and Ellen, as well as her brothers, Benjamin Pennington Jr., Freddie Mensing, and Donald Pennington.

In accordance with Sandra's wishes, a private cremation will be held. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, an organization close to Sandra's heart. Memories of Sandra and condolences for her family may be shared on her tribute wall.
