Arthur Harrison Brelsford II, a beloved lifelong resident of Millville, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Born and raised in Millville, Arthur was a proud graduate of Millville High School and a member of the storied 1961 Championship football team — a testament to his dedication, discipline, and enduring team spirit. Following high school, he built a respected career as a jet engine mechanic with Airwork Corp in Millville, where he worked diligently and honorably for more than 30 years.
Arthur’s passions extended far beyond his profession. He was an active member of the South Jersey RC Society and found great joy in artistic pursuits, especially wood carving. A gifted and self-taught musician, he could play several instruments and loved sharing music with family and friends. He cherished sailing alongside his beloved wife, Kathleen, and held a special place in his heart for the three dogs he adopted from The Seeing Eye — Jean, Ivy, and Ultra — who brought him great companionship and pride.
Arthur is survived by his loving sons, Mark Brelsford (Laurie) and Arthur Brelsford III; his cherished grandchildren, Matthew (Erin), Mary Kate (Rob Passafaro), Gregory, and Hunter; his dear in-laws, James McLoughlin and Patrice Melfi (Nick); as well as many nieces and nephews who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and generosity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ida Mae Brelsford, and by his beloved wife, Kathleen Brelsford.
